Bageshwar is a city and a municipal
board in the state of Uttarakhand, India. It is
also the administrative headquarters of Bageshwar
district.
There are many places of touristic
and historic importance in Bageshwar. This town
is situated on the confluence of river Saryu and
Gomti. There are many old temples dating back
to 10th century AD. Among them are the Baijnath
temple and Bagnath temples are the most important.
the Bagnath temple is situated in the middle of
the town just across the confluence of SARYU and
GOMTI.

It has an average elevation of
1,004 metres (3,294 feet).There is a FM tower
which is situated in highest height in uttarakhand
in chandika peak. Some years ago there was only
one CBSE medium school in bageshwar city but at
present time there are various cbse schools which
are providing quality education to the young talent
of India. There are various government colleges
and schools in this district.These are the sign
of improovement of education level of India. Manasvi
mamgai miss India 2010 also related to Garur in
bageshwar District.

available for local transport.

at Kathgodam which is 180 kms away.

Pant Nagar which is 206 kms away.
